You will need a minimum of three GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-4, including English, maths and science, or equivalent.

The Electrotechnical industry involves the installation, maintenance and repair of Electrotechnical equipment. This apprenticeship is a recognised route to gain an industry accepted qualification. It will help train and develop your skills but also help you to understand the industry and the businesses sector you’d be working in. This course offers the underpinning knowledge and on site assessment package that will give you “Fully qualified Electrical Contractor” status. Bedford College has built up reputable relationships with a number of local and national employers, helping and assisting in delivering excellence to their workforce.

Course content
During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:
Working effectively and safely in an Electrotechnical environment
Principles of Electrotechnology
Application of health and safety and electrical principles
Installation practices and theory
