Brief Description
Small Shillington based gardening company looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and conscientious person to join their expanding team.
Qualifications Required
3 GCSEs (or equivalent) A*-D including English and Maths, or Functional Skills Level 1 in English and Maths.
Due to the current situation, please be aware that the predicted grades will be accepted when applying for an apprenticeship.
Personal Qualities
Reliable, enthusiastic, good time keeper, keen eye for detail, presentable and an interest in horticulture.
Skills Required
If you have any gardening skills this could be an advantage but not necessary as full training will be given.
Training to be Provided
During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, which could include:
Health and Safety
Business Skills
Communication
Hand held and Pedestrian operated Machinery use
Plant and Soil Science
Plant health
You will gain the following qualifications:
Level 2 Apprenticeship in either Horticulture or Landscape Operative Standards

Emergency First Aid at Work
Safe Use of Pesticides NPTC Level 2 Award (PA1)
Functional Skills in English and maths (if not completed prior to the start of the apprenticeship)

Vacancy Detail
Small Shillington based gardening company looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and conscientious person to join their expanding team.
The successful candidate will we be working along side experienced gardeners carrying out tasks such as:
• planting
• edging
• weeding
• strimming
• mowing and hedge trimming
As well as the above there will be occasional fence repairs and maintenance duties to complete. You will be supplied with protective equipment and company uniform.
Other Information
The vacancy will be based outdoors all year round in all weather and the role can be physically demanding.
Successful applicants must be able to make their own way to Shillington.
