Brief Description
The role of the dental nurse apprentice will be to assist the dentist in daily activities which will include; mixing materials, suction and decontaminating and the sterilisation of instruments.
Qualifications Required
GCSE 9-C (A*-4) including English and maths or equivalent
or
Level 2 introduction to the Dental Sector
or
Have relevant work experience in the sector
Personal Qualities
The right candidate will need to be honest and hard working as well as being adaptable to complete a variety of job related tasks
Skills Required
The individual should have good communication skills, excellent time keeping and work well in a team.
Training to be Provided
You will gain the following qualifications:
Level 3 Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing
Plus…
Functional Skills in English and maths Level 2 (if required)

Vacancy Detail
The role of the dental nurse apprentice will be to assist the dentist in daily activities which will include; mixing materials, suction and decontaminating and the sterilisation of instruments.
The apprentice will also need to cover reception duties which will involve; taking notes, making appointments, taking payments and answering the phone whilst complying with GDPR. They will need to assist the dentist chair side with suction, and mixing materials. Other tasks include distilling water, checking the practice fire alarms and other general admin duties.
Other Information
This will include 1 day college attendance per week.
Pay will be reviewed throughout the apprenticeship based on the apprentice’s progress.
