Brief Description
Woodlands Academy are looking for a new Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join the school, working closely with the SENDCO team. The teaching assistant apprentice will be responsible for support students within the classroom and in small group intervention
Qualifications Required
You will need a minimum of three GCSEs at grades A*-D or 9-4,including English and maths, or Level 1 Functional Skills, or equivalent.

Calm, approachable, enthusiastic, empathetic, patient
Skills Required
The candidate needs to be both flexible and resilient, personable and adaptable and have the ability to use initiative. The candidate also needs to be a good communicator.

During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:

Safeguarding the welfare of children and young people
Communication and professional relationships with children, young people and adults
Equality, diversity and inclusion in work with children and young people

Vacancy Detail
Woodlands Academy are looking for a new Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join the school, working closely with the SENDCO team. The teaching assistant apprentice will be responsible for support students within the classroom and in small group intervention.
Working closely under the instruction and guidance of teaching staff and school managers, to undertake educational activities and attend to the educational, personal and social needs of pupils in order to support their learning and development and to ensure their safety.
To help to assess and record studen’s progress and achievements
To share professional responsibility for the education and welfare of the pupils in Woodland School in accordance with the school's aims and objectives.
Ensure that all legislative requirements are followed, and the agreed schemes of work and school policies, as confirmed by the Governing Body.
To actively contribute to the corporate responsibility for encouraging high personal standards from pupils in the areas of academic, behavioural and social development.
Other Information
Candidates need to be able to get to both Flitwick and Bedford College either via public transport or own transport.
