Brief Description

Puddleducks are looking for an apprentice Nursery Nurse who is enthusiastic, punctual willing to be part of our happy friendly team.

Qualifications Required

You will need a minimum of two GCSEs at grades A*-D, including English and maths, or equivalent. An ability to achieve a Level 1 ICT qualification is desirable.

Personal Qualities

Must be enthusiastic, empathetic and initiative.

Skills Required

The candidate should have good listening skills, be able to easily, follow instructions, work well in a team as well as using their own use initiative.

Training to be Provided

Business Administration OCR Level 4 NVQ Diploma (Competence qualification)

Future Prospects

Potential to progress into a senior nursery nurse role, lead practitioner role in SEND role, health and safety or safeguarding lead.

Vacancy Detail

Puddleducks are looking for an apprentice Nursery Nurse who is enthusiastic, punctual willing to be part of our happy friendly team.

Because we are a friendly team we are looking for a confident person to join our nursery able to communicate well with children, staff and parents. The successful candidate will spend time to get to know the staff,children and parents first by having time in three rooms. They will assist qualified staff to learn daily routines for both the nursery and children. Friday will be day release to Bedford College. After a period of settling time our new team member will be responsible for assisting with the running of the room, preparing snack, helping with lunch routines and setting up age appropriate activities for children in all three rooms. There, will some cleaning, sweeping, hoovering and cleaning up after messy activities but we all take turns with the jobs.

Other Information

Need to be able to get to Clapham either via public transport or own transport.

Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team and complete an online Maths and English test which will be sent out prior to your initial interview if you meet the entry criteria. Please note this is part of the recruitment process and must be completed in order for your application to be progressed to the next stage.
