Brief Description

To administrate and support all users with computer hardware and software issues in 1st and 2nd Line support

Qualifications Required

You will need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-4, including English and maths.

Personal Qualities

Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Friendly, confident and outgoing personality. Good interest in IT/computers, someone who wants a career in IT and Technology

Infrastructure Technician – BCS – Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. You will also study a range of topics including: Cabling and connectivity, Maintenance processes, Computer architecture, Numerical skills, Maintaining a secure network, Operating systems, Deploying and securely integrating mobile devices, Cloud and cloud services, Disaster recovery, Coding and logic, Business processes, Business IT skills, Communication, IT security, Remote infrastructure, Data, Problem solving, Workflow management, Health and safety, Performance, WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive)

To administrate and support all users with computer hardware and software issues in 1st and 2nd Line support

- Administration of company hardware and software (from purchase through to disposal, overall IT inventory, and software installation and updates)
- Setup and configure all new users with relevant equipment and train where necessary
- Assist with phone system
- Administrator Office 365 and Oneserve
- Reports on IT related software
- Assist Head of IT and System Development with new software roll outs
- Generate relevant documents and update all training/checklists
- Ensure antivirus is up to date
- Applying operating system updates / patches and
- Cloning and backing up devices
