Brief Description

Working as part of a small, expanding family team carrying out quality gardening and landscaping jobs to include grounds maintenance, site clearances, some fencing, decking and tree works at both domestic and commercial sites .

Qualifications Required

A minimum of 2 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade A* to D.

Training to be Provided

Level 2 Apprenticeship in either Horticulture or Landscape Operative. Plus: Emegency First Aid at Work, Level 2 Safe use of handling and application of pesticides, Functional Skills in English & maths (if required). You will also study a range of topics to include: Health and Safety, Business Skills, Machinery, Plant and Soil Science, Plant health

Vacancy Detail

Working as part of a small, expanding family team carrying out quality gardening and landscaping jobs to include grounds maintenance, site clearances, some fencing, decking and tree works at both domestic and commercial sites .To carry out quality landscape maintenance, site clearances, fencing, decking and tree works at domestic and commercial sites working as part of a family team.

You will work amongst an experienced team of 3 and carry out mainly ground and landscape maintenance during the growing season coupled with fencing projects, decking projects, landscaping projects and tree works. Duties will include but not limited to:

• Hedge cutting
• Strimming
• Planting of shrubs and plants
• Grass maintenance including mowing lawns
• Hard landscaping jobs such as fencing & decking
• Some tree work


You will follow health and safety guidelines, work under supervision or alone, use a variety of tools and machines as per manufacturers instructions and ensure work is carried out to the standard required.

You will be required to flexible with working hours and assist with preparations for works the following day.

This is not a exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as required by your changing role within the organisation.
