Brief Description

Based in Bedford town centre, Fletchers Hair Studio are an established salon who are now offering an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Level 2 Apprentice.

Qualifications Required

You will need a minimum of three GCSEs which must include English and maths at grades 9 – 4, , or equivalent and one other academic subject.

Personal Qualities

This position will suit a happy, creative and hardworking individual who likes working with people.

Skills Required

- The ability to talk with ease to a variety of customers
- To be able to listen to and act on instruction

Training to be Provided

Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals, Functional Skills in English and maths (if required). You will also study a range of topics including: Consultation, Shampooing and conditioning hair and scalp, Styling and finishing hair, Colouring, Cutting, Perming

Future Prospects

To successfully gain level 2 hairdressing and be offered a full time job with the company
after completing your apprenticeship.

Vacancy Detail

Based in Bedford town centre, Fletchers Hair Studio are an established salon who are now offering an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Level 2 Apprentice.

You will be on a continuous journey watching and listening to experienced team members who will encourage and guide you in developing into a hairdresser. As well as in-house training you will attend college one day a week.

Duties will be varied, but will include the following:

- Carry out reception duties including answering the telephone, arranging appointments in a professional manner
- Shampooing and conditioning clients
- Keeping the salon clean and tidy and making refreshments.
- Ensure products are stored correctly
- Work effectively in a team
- Make sure towels and supplies are ready for use
- At the days end, ensure the salon, work stations and equipment is clean and ready for the next day
