Brief Description

An Apprentice Fabricator will work as part of a small team using hand tools and welding techniques to manufacture a wide variety of products for industry. The work is diverse as each customer has unique requirements.

Qualifications Required

GCSE's maths and English A*-C (9-4)
Basic computer literacy

Vacancy Detail

An Apprentice Fabricator will work as part of a small team using hand tools and welding techniques to manufacture a wide variety of products for industry. The work is diverse as each customer has unique requirements.

Working as part of a team in the plastic fabrications department to manufacture products for the Food, Pharmaceutical and Engineering industries. Full training will be provided for the plastic welding equipment, techniques and processes.

Our Plastic Fabricators use hand held tools and plastic welding techniques to build complex low volume structures typically used in pharmaceuticals, food manufacture, flat roofing, and engineering. Working with high-density polyethylene (HDPE, PE,PVDF & PETG) pipe and sheet materials to create chemical tanks, pressure pipe work systems, centrifugal fans, fume hoods and other related products.
Performing butt and extrusion welding techniques
Assisting with workshop tidiness and weekly Health & Safety inspections
Assisting with the organisation of stock and maintaining stock levels
Learning about fabrication techniques in the geothermal department.

Other Information

We do work on site occasionally, which can require overnight accommodation.
