Working Week: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm, Friday 8:30am to 2pm with a half an hour lunch break each day.

Brief Description

To provide efficient accounting, payroll and administrative support to the finance department.

Qualifications Required

You will need a minimum of three GCSEs at grades A*-D or 9-4, including English and maths, or equivalent.

Good problem solving and analytical skills
Competent on Microsoft Office products, and Accounting Software

Training to be Provided

During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:
• Basic accounting
• Working effectively in accounting and finance

Future Prospects

Progress to Assistant Accountant role, with the option to continue education to a higher level

Vacancy Detail

Role Responsibilities:
Update daily bank reconciliations and posting of bank transactions
Ownership of sales invoicing processes and investigating customer queries in liaison with Customer Services
Issue Petty Cash, post journal and reconcile at month end.
Credit Control
Manage the invoice discounting facility – Add new debtors, upload invoices download cash and complete month end reconciliations
Weekly payroll
To ensure statutory information is provided to HM Customs and Inland Revenue in a timely manner.
To liaise with and provide relevant analysis for external auditors.
