Brief Description

As an Welding Apprentice you will be producing manufactured standard and bespoke aluminum and steel products. Using Mig and Tig welding equipment, in the production of these products.

Qualifications Required

Maths GCSE or equivalent A*-E.
English GCSE or equivalent A*-E.

Personal Qualities

The ideal candidate must:

Skills Required

Basic Maths.
Good English.

Training to be Provided

Full training will be given.

You will be following framework FR03648, the qualifications you will study to achieve your qualification Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Manufacture (Operator and Semi-skilled)

You will also have the opportunity to achieve the following additional qualifications: English Functional Skills Level 2, Maths Functional Skills Level 2, ICT Functional Skills, Employee Rights and Responsibilities and
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.

Vacancy Detail

As an Welding Apprentice you will be producing manufactured standard and bespoke aluminum and steel products. Using Mig and Tig welding equipment, in the production of these products

You will be trained to be responsible for the the production, of aluminum grilles and diffusers and will carry out the following duties:

1. Weld aluminum grilles and diffusers for the H&V industry.
2. Manufacture small batches or special grilles.
3. Operating mostly Aluminum Tig welding equipment.
4. With some operating understanding with Steel Mig welding equipment.

The manufacturing of these products is carried out at the Kempston workshop site, where you will be based in the workshop producing products to meet customer orders to the required industry standard.

Working in a workshop environment, in a manufacturing production environment.
