Brief Description

BOSCH Rexroth are recruiting for a mechanical engineering apprentice to join their world leading team of specialists in the fields of drive and control technologies!

Qualifications Required

You will need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-4 including English, maths and science , or equivalent, or a technical subject such as engineering or product design. Alternatively you can progress from a relevant Level 2 Intermediate apprenticeship programme.

Personal Qualities

Excellent communication skills with a 'can do attitude'.
Hard-working, confident and eager to learn with genuine interest in the engineering field. Applicants need to be enthusiastic, well organised, self motivated, and punctual.

Training to be Provided

Engineering Maintenance NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma, EAL Engineering Technology Level 3 Diploma, BTEC or VRQ. Plus English, maths and ICT Functional Skills, Employee Rights and Responsibilities, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. You will study a range of topics including: Engineering and Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering Organisational Efficiency and Improvement

Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship you may be given the opportunity to join our engineering team and work within a progressing team.

Do you want the opportunity to train and get paid at the same time?

If you hold at least five GCSEs at Grade C/5 or above, including; English, Maths and Science, you could join us as an Mechanical Engineering Apprentice at our office in St Neots.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable interest in building a career in Mechanical Engineering. The ideal candidate will hold five GCSEs or a BTEC2 / BTEC3 in engineering or A-Levels in appropriate subjects.

Combining on the job training with academic study, you will achieve an Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering. Manual and technical skills are important, as are literacy, numeracy and excellent communication skills. You will need to be good at following instructions and working as part of a team, and in particular, you will display the ability to concentrate well, focus on your work and be precise in practical and written work.

You will receive excellent training both on the job from a trained mentor and in college, and will have regular visits from the training provider. Once you have successfully completed your Apprenticeship you may be given the opportunity to join our Engineering team and work within a progressive and dedicated environment.
