Brief Description

A 36 month Technical Apprenticeship in Fabrication and Welding in collaboration with Bedford College, gaining the skills and training associated with all aspects of the business.

Qualifications Required

5 GCSEs A*- C (9-4) including English Language and Maths

Personal Qualities

Self motivation and drive
Willingness to work as in a team
A desire to better themselves

Skills Required

Good Hand Eye Co-ordination
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings in mm
CAD skills preferred although training offered to successful candidate.
Good listening and Communication skills
Willingness to learn
Organised and neat, taking pride in work.

Training to be Provided

Fabrication and Welding Engineering NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma and Fabrication and Welding Engineering Technology Level 3 Diploma plus...English, maths and ICT Functional Skills, Employee Rights and Responsibilities, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. You will study a range of topics including: Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and weldingMetal Inert Gas (MIG) welding

A 36 month Technical Apprenticeship in Fabrication and Welding in collaboration with Bedford College, gaining the skills and training associated with all aspects of the business.

Job functions will include:

Fabrication of Standard & Custom Display Cases using UPVC Acrylics

Modification of Polycarbonate Enclosures to customer supplied drawings.

Fabrication of Enclosures to house electronic systems and technologies.

We will provide on the job training to our ISO9001 processes and full support given towards becoming fully qualified as an LEL technician. The ideal candidate will have experience with hands on work, be self motivated, and ideally have some previous knowledge in fabrication of product from raw materials (to include Wood, Metal or Plastics).

Experience preferred but not essential, in ready engineering drawings from AUTOCAD or other mechanical drawing software.
