Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will need English and maths GCSE A*- D or 9-3 or functional skills level 1

Personal Qualities

Good time keeping, reliable, and enthusiasm for working outdoors
Working in a small team.
General politeness
Smart appearance at all times

Skills Required

Good level of fitness
Willing to work outdoors in all weather
A keen eye for detail
Passion for working with your hands and getting involved in the tasks
Driving license would be an advantage but not essential.

Training to be Provided

You will gain the following qualifications:
Work-Based Horticulture City & Guilds/NPTC Level 2 Diploma

You will also have the opportunity to take additional qualifications including Safe Use of Pesticides (PA1), Cylinder and Rotary Operated Pedestrian Mowers, Chainsaw and Related Operations, Safe Use of Hedge Trimmers and more.

Greenday Landscapes Ltd, based in Maulden, Bedfordshire are looking to recruit an apprentice who is keen to learn and wants to build a career within the industry. Greenday Landscapes Ltd offer a range of landscape gardening services in Beds, Herts & Bucks

Responsibilities include grounds maintenance and soft landscaping, working in a small busy team at various client sites. You can be maintaining landscapes for both the domestic and commercial customers that they work with. You can also be starting new projects from scratch, and being able to put your own personal stamp on these projects.

This is a physically demanding role and reliability and enthusiasm are essential.

Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team and complete an online maths and English test which will be sent out prior to your initial interview if you meet the entry criteria.
