Brief Description : To undertake the repair and calibration of electronic measuring equipment.
Qualifications Required : To be considered for this position, you must have achieved maths and English GCSE A* to D (9-3) grades.
Vacancy Detail : To undertake the repair and calibration of electronic measuring equipment.
The successful candidate will be involved in :-
1. The calibration and repair of both electronic and mechanical measuring devices.
2. Involved with the calibration of Digital Multimeters,
3. Calibration of Digital Multimeters,
4. Calibration Clamp Meters, thermometry measurement (contact and iR), pressure meters, light meters and scales.
5. Moving on to working with Counter Timers, Scope Meters and more complex instrumentation.

Working Week : 38hrs pw Mon-Thurs 8:30am-5pm 8:30am-3pm
Salary : £200.00 Per Week

Training to be Provided : Performing Engineering Operations NVQ Level 2 Diploma (QCF) – with bias to match your chosen pathway

Other Information : Candidates must attend an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team and complete an online Maths and English test which will be sent out prior to your initial interview if you meet the entry criteria. Please note this is part of the recruitment process and must be completed in order for your application to be progressed to the next stage.
Things to consider : The job will involve working on a computer, primarily within the workshop environment, but with the possibility of working away from site on customer's premises.
