Brief Description

Excellent opportunity to join a successful and long established family run ICAEW registered Chartered Accountancy practice based in Luton town centre.

Qualifications Required

You will need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades A*-C including English and maths.

Skills Required

Good IT skills.

Excellent opportunity to join a successful and long established family run ICAEW registered Chartered Accountancy practice based in Luton town centre.

This is an ideal apprenticeship opportunity for someone who is keen to build a career within the accountancy sector. You will gain hands on experience whilst being supported by a very professional and friendly team. You will learn about and be actively involved in the various services that an accountancy practice provides.

Training will be given to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:

• Receive and direct telephone calls from clients within the team.
• Provide administration support to the office manager, practice manager and the director as and when required.
• Collate, reconcile and prepare VAT returns and prepare book keeping work.
• Process payroll for clients on a monthly basis.
• Open and sort incoming post received from HMRC, Companies House and clients etc.
• Ensure all client records are up to date and accurate.
• Collate, track and reconcile client expenses.
• Check all financial transactions for accuracy.
• Key data into company accounting/management system.
• You will be trained to use Sage One.

Apprenticeships provide both on-the-job and off-the-job training so that you can earn while you learn.

Full training will be given. No experience is needed.

Other Information

This is an office based role working within a well-established and welcoming team.
Our office is based within Luton town centre and does not have free parking on site. There is parking close by and a good bus/train network available into the town centre.
