Brief Description
The opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Apprentice has become available at Luton-based company, Novoferm UK Ltd!
Qualifications Required
You will need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-4, ideally including English, maths and science or a technical based subject such as engineering or product design. Alternatively you can progress from a relevant Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship programme.

Skills Required
Some previous work experience would be advantageous but not essential.
Training to be Provided
The qualifications you will study to achieve will depend on your chosen pathway, and include:
NVQs (work-based learning)
•Electrical and Electronic Engineering NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma (incorporating level 2 Performing Engineering Operations that is studied in the first year at College)
Technical Certificates (classroom-based learning)
•EAL level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering Technology
•BTEC level 3 90-credit Diploma in Engineering
•BTEC level 3 Diploma in Engineering
Plus…
•English, maths and ICT Functional Skills
•Employee Rights and Responsibilities
•Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.
During this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:
•Health and safety
•Communications
•Maths for technicians
•Mechanical principles
•Electrical and electronic engineering
•Engineering drawing for technicians
Future Prospects
We would very much like our Electrical Engineering Apprentice to join us as a permanent employee once their studies are completed. In the long term we would be willing to support further studies.

As our Electrical Engineering Apprentice you will be working on the following:
- Research and development work
- Turning research ideas into technical plans,
- Researching and assessing new products
- Reviewing electrical systems and equipment to ensure the are operating effectively
- Planning Maintenance
- Installations
- Upgrades and modifications
This is a challenging role for a dynamic individual with a keen interest to learn a wide range of electrical engineering skills.
You will develop a good understanding of our current products and manufacturing processes and work very closely with our in-house electrical door systems.
Other Information
As we are a manufacturing company there will be times when you will be required to work on our production line. This can be noisy and cold.
