Brief Description

Are you interested in learning about building construction, health and safety legislation and the general repairs and maintenance of property? Do you have the commitment and drive to deliver good customer service?

Qualifications Required

You will need to have GCSE grades A*- C in English and maths.
A level grades, A- C
Previous construction based qualifications or experience with the construction sector is desirable but not essential.

Personal Qualities

Positive can-do attitude. The ability to think on their feet and not afraid to ask questions. Ability to communicate well with confidence and ease. Eager to understand building conditions and maintenance of buildings.

Skills Required

Desire to learn on the job. A keen eye for details and to work as a team would be advantageous. Having a general interest in the construction and building sector would also stand you in good stead.

Surveyors ensure that the responsive repairs/void service that we provide to our customers is efficient and that quality standards are delivered. They are responsible for ensuring that the properties we own and manage are places that people can be proud to live in. They work with our main contractors ensuring that targets are met, high standards are achieved and that customers receive good value for money.

This is an Apprentice post and therefore requires a commitment to attend college to undertake a BTEC level 3 Diploma in Construction. Alongside this, we will work closely with you on a development programme to ensure that you acquire the skills you need to become a fully qualified Surveyor.

Job purpose:

Trainee role to develop the skills, techniques and professional qualification to progress to a fully qualified surveyor within a 2 year period.

Work with the Maintenance Team to deliver a comprehensive, good quality responsive repairs and maintenance service to bpha's customers.

Work with Property Services to ensure our contractors provide an excellent service to our customers
