Brief Description

Join our team and be supported through all training at collage and in house. The role will be varied on a daily basis but mainly involve electro mechanical fabrications and building bespoke installations.

Qualifications Required

5 GCSEs essential (including Math's, English and Science), A* - D grades candidates must hold a level 2 in engineering or a technical design related course.

Skills Required

Not essential as in house training provided but wiring and testing electrical equipment and circuits. Assembling, wiring and testing electrical panels/components mounted in enclosures. Assembling and testing electrical circuits.

Vacancy Detail

Join our team and be supported through all training at collage and in house. The role will be varied on a daily basis but mainly involve electro mechanical fabrications and building bespoke installations.
Repairing instrumentation down to component level and utilise our large stock of components, sub-assemblies and spare parts. Help and understand the roles of each warehouse department and help where required.


With guidance and direction from the Workshop manager perform (dependant on skills) the following tasks.
Build wire and test an assortment of panels and cabinets to ketches and drawings.
Offer design and development input for new projects
Build and test ultrasonic sensors and flow meters.
Attend training courses as requested by the company.
Help and support other departments including goods in/dispatch to cover leave and excess work load.
Inspect and repair various sampling and analytical instruments.
Offer telephone support to external engineers
If suitably trained use all workshop tools and equipment including use of the forklift when required.
Provide good house keeping
If suitably trained assist external engineers on site when required.
Provide PAT testing to the facility when trained
Carry out ladder inspections and certificate when trained.

Other Information

The role is base inside at our main Wilstead head office and may, once training is complete and employee is comfortable to do so, days at site (waste water and clean water treatment plants) can be arranged as to educate employee on all areas of the business.
